Veneers are a permanent solution. Once they are bonded to your teeth, they cannot be removed – they can only be replaced. For that reason, it is important to treat them as you would your natural teeth – brushing twice per day, flossing at least once per day, and going for annual dental exams and cleanings.
Veneers can last, on average, 10-15 years if treated carefully. This includes avoiding hard, sticky, or chewy foods. If your veneer becomes chipped or it is not fully sealed and a cavity forms underneath, they may have to be replaced.

Veneers are typically made from either ceramic, porcelain, or composite resin. Which one we recommend will depend on the condition of your teeth and your budget.
Ceramic veneers, such as IPS Empress, are incredibly durable and provide an excellent colour matching system. At Imagine Dental, we use IPS empress for veneers as well as other dental solutions inlays and onlays.
The veneer procedure differs according to which material is being used. Porcelain and ceramic veneers typically require two sessions to apply, while composite resin veneers can be applied in a single session.
After administering a local anesthetic, we will apply the resin in thin layers, using a special lamp to harden every layer. Once the final layer has been applied and hardened, we will shape and polish your veneer so that it blends in seamlessly with your other teeth.
During your first appointment, our dentist will administer a local anesthetic to minimize discomfort and help you remain comfortable during your procedure.
After applying a local anesthetic, we will carefully remove a thin layer of enamel from the front of your tooth to make room for the veneer. Next, we will take a mould of your teeth to create your custom veneer, a process that helps your new veneers blend in as seamlessly as possible.
After taking these impressions, we may fit you with a set of temporary veneers to protect the surface of your teeth while your permanent veneers are being made.
During your second appointment, our dentist will remove the temporary veneers and install your permanent ones using safe composite resin cement. We will check to make sure the fit is optimal, and do a quick check to ensure everything is perfect.

I’ve been struggling to find a solution for my sore jaw which surfaced after a car accident two years ago. I’ve visited various Physiotherapists, Orthodontists and Jaw Specialists and they all had little-to-no recommendations aside from ‘waiting it out’ or getting injections/expensive appliances.
After my last ‘wait it out’ recommendation, I decided to get a second opinion. Imagine Dental was close to my workplace, so it was convenient to stop by. I initially went in for an Invisalign consultation to check if getting some trays would help with my bite alignment & ease some pressure on my jaw.

Our main door is next to the RBC’s (Royal Bank) door. Once you are in the lobby you can take the elevator or stairs to the 2nd floor.
