When a tooth is decayed or damaged beyond repair, it must be removed. This is to prevent further decay and infection that could spread to your remaining teeth and the rest of your body.
We will extract the tooth in our office using local anesthesia or, if you choose, sedation dentistry. Before we proceed with the extraction, we will create an individualized plan on how to preserve and protect the void left by the pulled tooth. It is important to fill the space so your remaining teeth do not shift and your bite does not become misaligned. Options we may discuss to fill the space include dental implants or partial dentures.
Wisdom teeth are located at the very backs of our mouths and are often the last teeth to erupt, a process that usually occurs in our late teens or early twenties.

Bone grafting is a surgical procedure that involves taking a piece of bone from one part of the body and grafting it onto the jawbone, and is often performed to prepare the jaw for dental implants.
This newly grafted bone builds up the jaw, making it stronger and bulkier, so it is ready for an implant or another restorative dental procedure.
At Imagine Dental, we use platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich Fibrin (PRF) to promote accelerated healing and tissue regeneration after bone grafting and other oral surgeries.
During this process, the patient’s blood is extracted, put into a centrifuge, and spun to separate platelets from other blood components. This creates the PRP and PRF, which is then injected back into the patient at the treatment site.

I’ve been struggling to find a solution for my sore jaw which surfaced after a car accident two years ago. I’ve visited various Physiotherapists, Orthodontists and Jaw Specialists and they all had little-to-no recommendations aside from ‘waiting it out’ or getting injections/expensive appliances.
After my last ‘wait it out’ recommendation, I decided to get a second opinion. Imagine Dental was close to my workplace, so it was convenient to stop by. I initially went in for an Invisalign consultation to check if getting some trays would help with my bite alignment & ease some pressure on my jaw.
Dr. Danielle was absolutely fantastic. She took a look at my bite and suggested a quick bite adjustment as a start, rather than jumping right into an expensive treatment. She did the bite adjustment and ‘wow’ – I can’t believe the difference it made. Our main door is next to the RBC’s (Royal Bank) door. Once you are in the lobby you can take the elevator or stairs to the 2nd floor.
